Management Survey

This survey is required to locate asbestos containing materials which could be damaged or disturbed during normal building occupancy or standard maintenance tasks. (Previously known as a type 1 or type 2 asbestos survey.)
 

Refurbishment Survey

This survey is required prior to refurbishment works and is intrusive into the fabric of your building. Surveys of this type can be completed in specific areas due for refurbishment. i.e. One floor of a multi-storey building. (Previously known as a type 3 asbestos surveys.)
 

Demolition Survey

This survey is required prior to the demolition of a building and is fully intrusive into the fabric of the building to be demolished. (Previously known as type 3 asbestos surveys)
 

Re-Inspection Survey

If asbestos containing materials have been found in your building there is a responsibility to regularly monitor the condition of them. This re-inspection ensures that any materials deteriorating are managed according to the increase in the risk they present
 

Combination Survey

This survey is designed to maximise value by completing a refurbishment of demolition survey to a specific area whilst completing a management survey to all other areas of a property to ensure compliance.
 

Sampling Survey

This is an exercise where we simply collect a sample from a material and location specified by the client. It is appropriate where no survey works are required but analysis is required to confirm the presence of asbestos in a specific material.

Asbestos refurbishment surveys are more in-depth surveys than management surveys because intrusive and destructive methods are used to uncover the extent of ACMs within the fabric of the building – in order to find asbestos materials that may be entirely hidden within the structure of the building. This form of surveys will endeavour to gain access to difficult-to-reach areas such as roof voids, wall interiors, solid floors and under crofts which would not normally be accessed in a management survey.

Refurbishment and Demolition surveys are ideal if you are planning extensive refurbishment works or prior to a building being demolished.
